Is the pet stay going to be long-term? If so, we recommend you do a short overnight stay leading up to the start of the long booking. This is a great way to make sure that the pet will settle in well with you. It’s the most important factor when it comes to having a successful booking.
We really encourage our Pet Sitters to arrange a Meet and Greet. It gives meet the pet and ensure that you, as a Pet Sitter, feels comfortable that you are able to provide the level of care requested. You are even prompted during the booking process, before you approve the booking, to commence a Meet and Greet.
Meet and Greet Information Sheet
We want to ensure your Meet and Greet runs smoothly, and that you've covered all elements of the pet’s care. To this end, we have included a Meet and Greet Information Sheet. Fill this out during your Meet and Greet with the Pet Owner, and walk through each point with them to ensure you know all expectations.
Pet Sitting Checklist
Are you staying at the Pet Owner’s home? If so, we have attached a Pet Sitting Checklist. This will let you know if the Pet Owner requires you to complete any additional tasks whilst they're away, such as watering plants or taking out the bins
Property Walkthrough Checklist
Are you are inviting pets to stay in your home? Make sure it's ready and safe for them by using our Property Walkthrough Checklist attached. It's a great way to help you check for potential hazards and ensure you're fully prepared for your furry guest!
If the pet is not the best fit for you or your home, do not hesitate to decline the booking. We would prefer that the booking runs smoothly and you're happy, instead of feeling like you must take a booking.
