Can I receive payment for a booking in cash?

No you cannot. We have a zero tolerance policy for all Pet Sitters and Pet Owners who choose to take a booking offline. Unfortunately we will have no choice but to deactivate both accounts, depending on the circumstances. 


On Mad Paws, we don't allow payments to be taken offline. All payments must be made through the website. As an Australian startup company, offline payments make it really difficult for us to do business. More importantly, if a booking is paid in cash then Pet Sitters & Pet Owners will not have access to the following: 

  • Our 10 million dollar public liability policy, which covers you and your client’s pets.

  • Access to our awesome customer service team! 

  • The use of our website to meet new clients, manage, and rapidly expand your business.

  • The marketing and promotion of the website to attract new clients for you through our site.


If we see that you are taking jobs off of the website, we may have to suspend your account. We really hope you understand and acknowledge the fact that a portion of our fees are actually used to protect both you and the Pet Owners during your bookings.
