What services can you offer as a Sitter and what do they include?

The beauty of Mad Paws is that you get to choose which of our Seven services you offer, and the rates at which you offer them.

♦ Hosting - Our most popular service involves you, the sitter, taking an owner's pet into your home and caring for it. Pet hosting is a service used by owners who are travelling or will be away from their property for a period of time. Dog walking may or may not be included in the price of Pet Hosting, however this is up to the discretion of the Pet Sitter and should be discussed prior to the booking;

Time period - Overnight up to 24 Hours.

Discuss: your schedule with the owner to ensure that you agree on how much time their pet is left alone during their stay.

♦ Sitting - A service usually offered by sitters who cannot take pets in their own home. Pet Sitting involves a sitter travelling to an owner's house and staying overnight to look after their pet. This service is used by owners who are travelling or who have pets who are not comfortable in locations other than their own home. Dog walking may or may not be included in the price of Pet Sitting, however this is up to the discretion of the Pet Sitter and should be discussed prior to the booking;

 Day Care - A service usually offered by Sitters who have free time during the day, but cannot offer overnight services. Pet daycare involves the Sitter taking care of an owner's pet during the day either at the Sitter's own home or the Pet Owner's home. This may involve feeding them, playing with them or just being present to ensure nothing detrimental occurs;

Time period - up to 10 hours, drop off around 7-9am pick up 5-7pm.

Discuss: with the owner how long they'd like the session to last and whether their Pet may need a Walk during each session.

♦ House Visits - A service usually used by busy, working owners. House visiting involves a Sitter travelling to an owner's home to visit the pet 1-2 times per day. During these visits, Sitters will give the pet the appropriate food, water and attention which was agreed upon with the Pet Owner.

Time period - 30 minutes per visit.

Discuss: how long they'd like you to spend with their pet when you visit, details regarding food, water and if they need their litter tray cleaned or taken for a walk.

Please note our platform, at the moment, does not offer the option to book multiple House Visits in one day. To add extra visits, simply go to the "Offer Special Price" button in the booking and adjust your rate accordingly

♦ Dog Walk - A service usually offered by busy, active Pet Sitters. Dog Walking is our most flexible and popular daytime service. Walks usually take between 30-60 minutes depending on the needs of the dog and are perfect for Sitters who may have other jobs during the day, or have limited time.
